The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines provide the public and professionals with evidenced-based recommendations for health and care in England. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is an evidenced-based therapy recommended by NICE as an approved effective treatment for a range
of mental health problems. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is also recommended by NICE for the effective treatment of trauma with a growing evidence base for a number of other difficulties. Both types of therapies are available from our Consultant Clinical Psychologist, with all therapy tailored to the persons unique needs.
