BA (Hons). Dip Psych (UKCP. BACP)
Psychotherapy is held in a safe and private space where you can explore your experience of being human in the presence of a trained psychotherapist. Sessions are 50 minutes long and are held weekly for the agreed amount of time. Some of the issues you might be seeking help for are:
Anxiety, Bereavement and Loss, 'Breakdown', Depression, Loss of meaning, Panic attacks, Questions about your faith and spirituality, Relationship issues, Self Esteem, Stress, Trauma and abuse.
My psychotherapeutic perspective places you, your unique qualities and your individual needs at the centre of the work. Working from a Humanistic Integrative approach makes this possible in that I am continuously cultivating a range of skills from various approaches that enable me to best meet your needs. I consider you as an integrated ‘whole’ made up of body, mind and spirit as well as being in constant relationship with your surroundings. It is important to be able to hold all of these aspects of human experience at once and with equal importance.
I am a fully qualified Psychotherapist with a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy (CCPE) in Paddington, London. I am UKCP accredited and abide by their rules. My approach integrates learning and skills from 5 years of psychotherapy training with 700 hours+ experience and more than eight years practicing as a yoga teacher. Alongside this I have a background in the arts which means I am able to work from a holistic and creative perspective.
